Independent says it's only natural

Independent bottler Murray McDavid has introduced new information symbols in a push to highlight natural whisky.

The two new symbols ‘non chill filtered’ and ‘colouring free’ will be displayed on the back of its independent and official Bruichladdich bottlings.

“Whisky labelling can be confusing at the best of times,” said Mark Reynier of Bruichladdich distillery, “look at the word ‘pure’ for example.
“Other distillers and bottlers might adopt the same symbols so that consumers can be genuinely sure of what they are getting.”
