If you’re the kind of whisky drinker that likes nothing better than a swig from a flask at the top of a mountain, then the first ever Talisker Trek is just the thing for you.
The two day trek is set to take place on May 5-7, 2006 and involves teams of four trekking across the tough terrain surrounding Skye’s Cuillin Hills. Activities include navigation, sleeping in tents, learning about the island’s whisky and completing the occasional challenge such as hammer throwing and tyre pulling.
Accompanying the teams will be world famous polar explorers Tom Avery and Sir Ranulph Fiennes. Participants are required to raise £500 sponsorship money for the Woodland Trust. The total money raised will contribute towards an additional 250,000 trees being planted in Britain over the next three years.
