World's first solid whisky cocktail

Monkey Shoulder, the world’s first triple malt whisky from William Grant & Sons, has entered the realms of gastronomic innovation with another ‘first’ for the drinks industry – the solid whisky cocktail.

Inspired by the classic Manhattan recipe, the Solid Manhattan combines Monkey Shoulder whisky with sweet and dry vermouth and cherry liqueur and is served on a shell shaped spoon, gently solidified with gelatine to create an oyster like consistency that slowly melts on the tongue.

The cocktail is available on the menu at London bar Trailer Happiness.

It's quite easy actually, 'heid. They umm..that is to say they use.....three....and a little....err. Malt, yes some malt, three....m...
