For its 10 year anniversary Whisky Live London is returning to the Hurlingham Club in west London, as a reflection of its status as the UK's leading premium drinks show experience.

Bordering the Thames in Fulham, and set in 42 acres of magnificent grounds, the Hurlingham Club is a gem of international renown. The striking Georgian Clubhouse mixes timeless elegance with up to date facilities and services, and its easy access to tube and train make it the perfect setting for a celebration of the very best whiskies of the world.

The Whisky Live Masterclasses are a unique insight into the world of whisky and are tutored by master distillers and other leading whisky experts. Held within a private room at The Hurlingham Club, tickets will go on sale from 18th January by visiting http://www.whiskylive.com priced at £13 per session.

Join Ian Logan, International Brand Ambassador at Chivas Brothers in this opportunity to taste some hand selected cask samples of four key malts. 35yo. Scapa, 33yo. Longmorn, 31yo. Glenlivet, 25yo. There are 3 masterclasses each day. 4 of them are online and I'm waiting to hear about the other 2. Sorry for the delay.

Is this a first? I do not remember special bottlings last year.

There have been a few exclusive / special bottlings in the past.

Last year there was the Compass Box Optimism (bottled on site), and the year before there was the memorable Glenlivet Eclipse.

I have a vague recollection of Suntory doing something exclusive with their Yamazki before, but sadly the memories fade in the malts of time.

However this is of course the first year that they've had a 10th anniversary to pull the stops out for.

How definitive is the list of exhibitors now?

It's good to see Glenfiddich (I hope they remember to pack the Balvenie) and Edrington returning.

And In Spirit Brands (que?) could this be Buffalo Trace making a suprise return visit incognito?

Can we safely assume that the following are no-shows:
Glenmorangie / Ardbeg?
Diageo and their enormous portfollio including classic malts et al.
Whyte & Mackay (Jura and Dalmore)
Douglas Laing (OMC brothers complete with full mostaches and sometimes kilts).

Or are you still using a little WL charm and persuasion to try and spring a few suprises on to the list?

We are still adding to the list and I can confirm Whyte and Mackay will be attending along with Morrison Bowmore with Suntory and Glen Garioch and also Berry Bros & Rudd retail and Glenrothes.

We are anticipating adding some more confirmed attendees in the coming few days!!

I know you've been waiting to hear if there are going to be any more masterclasses at Whisky Live London this year and I can confirm that Diageo are holding two. I am also waiting for two other companies to confirm that they are also holding classes. Once I have the information I will post them on the ticket booking website.

The Sherry Cask Sensory Whisky Creator, Annabel Meikle will lead you through an exploration of the distinctive nuances of the sherry cask in some of Glenmorangie's expressions. You will also have the chance to try two specially selected Glenmorangie and Ardbeg cask samples.
