Are they double bottles as they look too big just to be single Litres :?

Thanks!

Hi Kildalton I to bought a bottle at the show. I tried it at the Alchemist stand. Its hard to compare with the PC5 which is at 63% the other 46%.
I need to compare the two together to make a proper judgement.

Alchemist one of the interesting finds of the day. There Highland Park 15 was interesting and slightly off track the Calvados was so superb had to go buy myself a bottle at Royal Mile on the day.

Hello Whiskybembel,
I have quite enjoyed looking through your pictures. You can't imagine how surprised I was too see a friend of mine from Toronto in one of them! Anne Patrick, wife of Ed Patrick - President of the Canadian Companions of the Quaich, to be exact. I will have to email her to say that I have had "a vision!"

I have also appreciated the other photographs and comments about the event.

Cheers,
Wendy

The pictures are great, a nice reminder of the event. I took a camera with me and all I snapped were a couple of pictures at 7.45 on my way to breakfast....

Casino Win

Postby Darren Clayson » Mon Mar 12, 2007 12:12 pm

Hi all,

This was my first whisky live and being a relative novice to the world of whisky at the age of 27 it was a wonderful experience and thoroughly enjoyable. Having arrived early on the Friday we were given complimentary tickets to the Mackmyra masterclass which was great fun and very interesting to try see so clearly the huge impact of combining three different woods with peated and unpeated whisky in such young and fresh samplings. We tried so many wonderful malts throughout the day and I must say a special thankyou to Henry who tuitored us through almost his whole range of bourbons and rye whiskys. But in response to some earlier posts I was the lucky winner of the casino on the Friday!!! I came away with the 12 year old ancnoc - which is a subtle dram oozing mint and to me anyway - strawberry icecream (does anyone else get this?)! I was slightly dissapointed though as I believe the original intended prize was to be a novel and unique blend.

I will definitley return next year and look forward to being educated in the meantime on this forum.

All the best

Darren

Hi,

tried also the PC from Alchemist but on another whisky-show.

Imho the Alchemist has much more flavour than the original PC. This one is smoke and peat and not much more. The Alchemist PC has floral notes and also some sweetness. A very pleasant dram.
