Whisky Live Paris 2008 runs from Saturday 20th to Sunday 21st of September, but there will also be some special events Friday and Saturday nights.

This fifth edition of Whisky Live Paris will go further than ever in its aim of increasing knowledge of the world of whisky, as well as exploring new ways of consumption and everything that goes along with it.
After last year's theme of Collectors, which followed a focus on casks in 2006, this year we look at whisky in terms of its Total Experience.
The Total Experience is organised around the following three concepts:
- Tasting: new products, great classics, collectors, new spirits, etc.
- Gourmet combinations: Malt & Food matching, cocktails, tea and chocolate areas, etc.
- The art of living: gastronomy, cigars, literature, travel, etc.
Alongside this introductory journey through time and space (once again, all whisky-producing countries will be represented), experimentation will be at the heart of this fifth edition.
VIP WEEKEND PACKAGE
It is difficult, nay impossible, for whisky lovers to get the full benefit of Whisky Live Paris in a single day. This is especially true this year as we welcome numerous distilleries to Whisky Live Paris for the first time. For whisky devotees the Whisky Live Paris VIP package is thus an absolute must.
In addition to unrestricted tasting at all the stands and free access to the variety of presentations and activities, the VIP package also gives you access to a private area where you will be able to taste limited edition and 'Collector' whiskies in the company of La Maison du Whisky specialists. This sensory area will also give you the opportunity to nose New Make Spirit from the distilleries attending Whisky Live. In addition, there will be a selection of exclusive tastings (12 places only; you can reserve your seat at the venue reception during the event). The heads of Ardbeg, Gordon & MacPhail, Signatory Vintage, Midleton and Yamazaki will all be in attendance.

I will be there...and am planning to do at least one episode of WhiskyCast (possibly one Saturday and one Sunday) from WL Paris...

Don't know yet...they moved the event to Friday night, and that makes it a little more difficult to pull off. I'll see what I can do...
