Is £99 a good price for a Springbank 21yo?

Postby adogranonthepitch » Sun Oct 05, 2003 8:56 pm

I know of a supplier of whisky who is selling 21yo Springbank for £99.

Now I thought this was rarer than rocking horse droppings.

What does the forum think? :P

I don't know about today 21yo Springbank bottle price, but I know that the bottle I bought two years ago cost me about £60.
Considering the difficulty to find this bottle (in France), and the fact that it is supposed to be a verry good malt (my bottle is still unopened, so I don't really know) I thought it price would have raised more than that …

Springbank 21

Postby Lawrence » Wed Oct 08, 2003 4:47 pm

I saw a bottle of Springbank 21 at Loch Fyne Whiskies 3 weeks ago for £160, it was the same as any other bottle of Springbank 21. I think I'll wait a while before I open mine. The asking price on ebay is currently running between US$210 - $260, the historical actually selling price is a little lower but it's creeping up. It's turning into a hot collectors item.
