1820 Johnnie Walker Decanter

Postby rosebourke » Sun Jan 04, 2009 6:33 am

Hi All
I was wondering whether anyone could advise me as to the history and/or value of my Johhnie Walker bottle.

It stands 28cms tall (11 inches) and 8.5cms wide (3.5 inches) at its largest part.
It has the numbers 1820 stamped on the lower back of the bottle which i am going to assume is the year 1820.

Rosebourke
Welcome to the forum.

The original blend was created in 1820 and The Striding Man logo was first sketched by in 1909.

I don’t know that much about the different releases from Johnnie Walker, but I did a quick search on the net, and they seem have a decanter similar to yours for sale for 120 Australian $ (85 USD) at:

Maybe someone else here knows more about it?
