Without judging it before more details are confirmed I would guess that Ardbeg will be seduced by the success of the Corryvreckan, and the ridiculous prices it achieved on the secondary market, and bump up the price of the Supernova without increasing its age or reducing the number of bottles.

The fact that they are making a limit of 2 per member rather than the 1 of the Corryvreckan would also suggest that this will be a less limited edition. Either that or they're trying to reduce the workload at the poor folk at the Old Kiln Shop - after all many people ordered multiple bottles of the Corryvreckan (using different names, addresses, etc.) yet each needed to be packed and sent seperately.

Time will tell... One thing I'll say is that I hope they've got the distribution mechanism beefed up for this one so that we don't have to wait weeks after ordering before they're delivered.

I have to agree with that. The Corry is too good to sell. It's definetly one for drinking and keeping.

Not sure about the Age statement but it is a shame people sell it to make a profit.

Since the whisky is likely to be very young (3? 5 YO?), they prefer not to disclose it.
But they are still cheaper than Bruichladdich with their Octomore.

Les, Turf bogs are a terrible problem out our way. There's one in the Dublin mountains making its way towards our estate at about 1 mm per year.

I went out a few times cutting turf in County Clare with my uncle a few times. I thought these "skills" would have stayed with me when I tried to do it on Islay a few years ago, but I was shown up. I'd forgotten that I never really developed the skill. I just stood there and watched.

When I was at Ardbeg, the lady said that people were using all sorts of tricks to get more than their fair allocaiton of Corryvrekan. I'm sure it will be the same this time around.

They must be doing something right at Ardbeg/LVMH the amount of thread space this has generated since Monday on various boards , loads of speculation , fact and rumour .
We know it's 3000 bottles (600 of them to the USA according to rumour ) .
It's strong (58.9% ?) .
Can't get to know the age (The Chairman wouldn't let on Today....) but rumours of 2000 or 2001 distillation are on one board . if it is a 7 or 8yo all the better .
I was very disappointed by the Octomore but The Chairman thinks i will like the Supernova.......
