A collaboration between John MacDougall and Gavin Smith this is the story of the career of an industry insider. John MacDougall managed places including Tormore, Laphroaig and Springbank. He also spent time at Strathclyde grain distillery. In amongst the great yarns of booze feulled fun there is also great insight to the way things were as far as techniques employed in production and compamy ethos.

Highly recommended.

This book gives an excellent insight into the everyday workings and management problems within the industry, as evidenced by MacDougall's experiences. It also gives one an appreciation for " the water of life" from the production side of things!
