Cutty Sark?

How does the standard Cutty Sark blend compare with others in its class, such as Teacher's, Grant's, Ballantines, etc.? I'm thinking of getting it as a cheap weeknight drink, but I don't want to waste my money if it's not much good. Opinions and comparisons welcome.

I quite like it, it's one of my 'house blends' (the others being Teacher's and Rob Roy).

I like its softness and especially thos Glenrothesy vibes.

I am a fan of Cutty Sark. It has a nose of grass and heather and the taste is soft as others have mentioned already. Quite nice for the price.

I find it dull and boring, but drinkable

Me, I like the blend, as blends go it is eminently drinkable.
I would love to hear your comments about the malt, however, which we are currently passing around as the "duffer" bottle to see who gets to host the next tasting in our area. We have to have a drink of the duffer first, the Cutty Sark reoplaced the Drumguish when we could not stand this any more and poured it away!
What about BNJ, this is also relatively cheap.
