Highland Park 21

[Whisky]

I don't think I've ever seen for sale on the 'net. (I appreciate it's for sale in Duty Free shops.)
Anyone tried this? Particularly, how does it stack up against the 18?

Almost finished my bottle. It is fantastic and all my friends like this one. Smooth with the typical highland park notes. Not tried the 18 though.

I really like the HP 21, in fact I much prefer it over the 18 OB. It's all a matter of preference really, but especially for the price the 21yo is waaaay better IMO.

I would recommend HP21. I did a tasting of the range when at the distillery (12, 16, 18, 21, 25 and 30). The 21 was the best in my opinion. I then tried the Ambassadors Cask no 3 and bought one of the few remaining bottles of that

Quite different style compared to the 18 y.o I would say.

How much is the 21?

I payed 75,- euro's at Aberdeen aiport
but that was early november
pound was a bit higher then i believe

That's a pretty good price. Absolute bargain when the pound was stronger against the Euro.

Very good - I think I probably still prefer the 18yo out of the 12, 16, 18, 21, 25, 30 though. A very close second and a little bit different with more bourbon and a fresher profile.

I tried some 12 year old last night and there was an unusual, burnt rubber aftertaste to it, which I've never encountered before. Not unpleasant, just different to other 12 year old HPs I've tried.
