First stab...be gentle

On the nose I got honey and Maple Syrup - rather the smell of maple flavour..cooking flavours. Promising

The taste was very strong Liquorice, or fishermans freinds, mixed with syrup. Sweet and cloying.

The finish just faded out, maybe some citrus, orange, then a tiny bit of vanilla.

Overall impression was a little bit "rough".

I wouldn't pour it on a winters night anticipating a good book, more likely over ice in the summer months

Mind you £15.00 a bottle, it will go down one way or the other

It's an old American bourbon that has been around since the 1930's atleast.

This was the frist Bourbon I ever tried, I really like it. You should go for the small batch or single barrel and compare them, you will not be disappointed.

Four Roses is back in the US now after an absence of decades and they are putting out some really promising Bourbons.
