I am desparate to get my hands on the above bottling from last year. If you have one to sell, or know where it might be available, please let me know.

I had two reserved for me but stupidly let them slip through my hands :headbang:

Lat time i checked La Maison du Whisky had it. Ordering from them is very easy and packages arrive super fast.

Here is a shop in Belgium... The Karuizawa is still listed... 178 EUR...

And here is one in Denmark... 1.939,00 DKK are 250 GBP... :shock:

The Belgium one says its out of stock but I've emailed them just in case. The Danish one is rather too expensive

This is probably no help, but there's a 1972 version out now. Pretty widely available.

Hi http://www.singlemaltsdirect.com seem to have it listed at £108.99 not sure if it is in stock or not but seems a lot cheaper than other quotes!

If no joy there I may have one in my house! but then again I might just drink it!

I reviewed it on my blog and I think it may have been my top scorer last year!

Never tried the '71. I realised it was a great price for such an old Japanese bottling but ignored my own advice to buy it. D'oh.

Let's just say that they were more than the original UK selling price (possibly due to the falling value of the pound) but less than some sellers were asking

I guess I was lucky to find four at a reasonable price...but I have to say that I have never worked so hard and sent so many emails to find a bottle I was after!

I think because (as I said in the OP) I had two reserved but let them go I became a bit obsessed with making sure I would get replacements, and eventually my perseverance paid off.
