Lagavulin DE 1991-'07 or '08?

I picked up another 1991 Distillers Edition and didn't notice until I got home the bottle date was different. Anyone compared this one year older bottling to last years?

I had some ,90 and ,91. The ,90 was better than the ,91 because it was open for a long time and the ,91 was freshly opened. I might be wrong but i think Laga gets better when it is open for a while, even in the glass i leave it for about 10 min.
