1948 Canadian Club Whisky

I have a bottle of 1948 Canadian Club whisky that I am looking to get some info on...... The bottle was stored in my grandfathers trunk in his basement. The unopened paper seal has the 1948 date and the ser #23-3360342. If anyone can give me some information, like what it is worth, when it might have been imported or obtained etc., I would appreciate it. Thank You!!!

Well, a couple of years ago, I paid about U.S. $40 for a 40 oz. CC bottle from the late-'30s. It's long since gone, but I'd be glad to replace it at around the same price. Not willing to pay more, though. Does that give you some idea about value?
Greatest value, though, might be to drink it.
