Hey,

Just looking at one of these and considering drinking/keeping?

Whats everyone's opinion of this bottle, through tasting or its collectable value?

I saw this bottle and thought the price was too good to be true, even a G & M rates.
A closed distillery at cask stength (66.ish%) from 1979!! After ordering a bottle I discovered it was not bottled 2009 but 1995 (no mention of bottling date or age was stated on the listing.
This was still a good deal. Then I couldn't help but notice it was a 35cl bottle. The deal was a bum deal. The bottle size was also absent from the description. I contacted them and asked for another so I had enough for a 28 person tasting (25ml each pour). They sent me 2 so now I have too much. Imagine that, too much whisky.

Oops sorry Caledonia I never answered the question. Its fine but nothing remarkable. Not too many Glen Mhors out there and this is at an unrepeatable age so all in all a good collecting whisky or for anyone looking to try the closed stills and on a budget. Otherwise your money could get you something more tasty.

Interesting thoughts, thanks JMRL I have tasted several Glen Mhor's

I have heard fantastic things of this whisky at its 'teens' but alas this may be one of the last chances i ever get at tasting it !

Mind is made up , the money isnt too expensive in comparison to a CS , closed distillery at 35cl or not.
