Has anybody ever visited the Port Ellen Maltings?

And if so, I dont suppose you have contact details?
We are off to Islay next year, fancy doing the trip, but they are only apparently open at festival time or by prior arrangement.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I did during the Feis Ila of '04, unfortunately no I don't have any contacts.
It was a great tour, got to taste a couple Lagavulin 12yo's and a PE 3rd Release after the tour, nice!

I went during this years festival. It's interesting, but you know, a bit industrial. Your best bet is to try to get in contact with someone at Diageo I reckon.
The maltings aren't that exciting, the PE (we tasted 2nd and 4th releases from memory) was what made it worthwhile.
