Laphroaig 18 Year Old and Batch No. 001

Postby jplu2 » Tue Nov 03, 2009 5:43 pm

I have just given myself a birthday present of the Laphroaig 18 year old and the new Batch No. 001 Cask Strength :D

I just thought that everyone else might like to know that they have the 18 Year Old and Batch No. 001 available in the FOL shop at just over £30 for the Cask Strength and Just under £60 for the 18 Year Old.

Does anybody nkow how much of the Batch No. 001 has been produced.

I'd love to get some but will have to leave it a week or so I'm hoping there is a shed load of it ...

I am sure that they have a fair number...I had to wait about 2 weeks to buy mine as I was waiting for my 10% birthday discount (Buying from South Africa isn't cheap!). Vicky at the Visitor Centre kept telling me not to panic and that there are loads...so I am sure you will be fine. If you are concerned though give her a ring or drop her an email. She is extremely helpful! :D

Nearly forgot about this ... but got my order in today 8) .

Fair play to Laphroaig for sorting out a cheaper postage. ANybody know what a late delivery discount means. It wasa fiver off dilevery with that.

Also am I correct in assuming that Batch 001 is basically the old Cask strength but their going to do in it the batch format from now on, a bit like the abunadh.

Can anybody confirm or deny.

It was a gift to all FOL who purchased this years Cairdeas to apologise for the delivery issues (if you suffered from it or not).

The old Cask Strength was a standard ABV where as this new version will vary I believe. This new one has replaced the old Cask Strength though

Thanks a million ClubSmed ... all questions answered ion fowl swoop

Luckily I was not in a rush for these as I thought the late delivery discount was if you did not want them in a hurry and they would que your order as non urgent. A bit thick of me
