Russell's Reserve Rye

I am a big fan of WT Rye 101, so I thought I would give the Russell's Reserve Rye a try. It's a 90 proof, 6-year, small batch rye by Jimmy Russell the WT Master Distiller.

All I can say is fantastic!

Nose: Mildly spicy rye nose, vanilla, and fruit (bananas and pineapple)

Taste: Very, very smooth, no water needed (I add a touch of water to the WT Rye 101). Mild rye spice that has a minty or pine quality to it, vanilla, nuts, bananas and pineapple

Finish: Medium length with a lingering minty/pine rye spice.
