Balvenie vintage cask 1951

Hello

I bought this bottle

Balvenie Vintage 1951 bottled 1996 45y 51,9% Cask 1236 90 bottles 1st Vintage Cask

Has anybody ever tried this,and is there some list on all the vintage casks of Balvenie
It's hard to find info on this bottle.

Thanks for the info,that is a huge list of vintage casks.
I bought it as it was such an old one an the first release,I payed a lot of money for it. :?
But it's propably worth it,would they not choose the best cask in the warehouse as a first release to set standards for all releases to follow. :P

If I open it I will definatly think of you,this will propably happen on the Lindores whiskyfest in the next few years,I am a member of the organising Lindores whiskyclub.

Only 90 bottles made and bottled in 1996...what are the odds two would sell this year. Welcome to the club :D

Hi,
Can anone help with a rough valuation for this cask?
I have numbered bottles 5 and 6, in the original cartons and with the outer case as well (case origanally had three bottles in it).
I bought them at a charity auction that my mother organised - she having worked for Mr Sandy for 36 years in quality before she retired.
