Cadenheads at the 2011 Speyside Festival

The program and ticket sales have just gone live for this year's Spirit of Speyside whisky festival. Not so many difficult to access distilleries are open but the events list is still very impressive.

Cadenheads will have a tasting on Saturday 30th April in the St. James hall, Dufftown 3.30 to 5.00 tickets £17. The apparent 'leg end' Mark Davidson will host.

The 5 drams will probably include a 16yo Laphroaig Bourbon hogshead at 55.2% and maybe a distillery bottling of a single cask Hazelburn from a port cask at 54% unique to UK Cadenheads shops. The other three will perhaps come from the soon to be released bottling program which may well contain some casls of note. They should include something at least 25yo and a closed distillery as well as something 'unusual'. Details will be confirmed soonly.

There's 4-6 of us that wants to go to whiskyquiz, so we either need to find a few more to fill up to 2 teams or shrink it down to 2 teams, or maybe 2 3man teams
