Dear Whisky Aficionados,

I've finally found this site again after a couple of years away. Life has intervened... I continue to enjoy the bottles I've picked up in the UK over the past few years.

However, I still have an intact numbered bottle of the subject offering, complete with gorgeous dovetailed oaken box, wee tartan surrounding it, numbered, signed & wax sealed certificate, complete with boxed lidded tasting glass.

Just remember if you seeing selling for a certain price on a retailers site you won't get that price as they have to pay VAT and have a profit !

Private sale around £600

I have seen these sell for much less in the US... in the $700 range on ebay from reputable sellers

Damn, yet another top notch malt that's cheaper in the US than in the land of its birth Like Laph 30

Pretty funny isn't it Nick!! I think it just comes down to the fact there are more collectors in Europe and also WA gives that market much more liquidity with bottles driving up the prices

And one should not forget the specificites of the US, were interstate shipping is complicated and sometimes forbidden. Therefore, selling whisky outside your state in the US is rather complicated (if you want to follow the regulations) and thus results in a lower number of potential buyer.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
