Macallan 25 Anniversary

This 25 Anniversary Macallan came in a pine box with leather straps. The label does not specify a bottling or distillation date. It also says 86 Proof instead of 43% ABV. It was given as a present around 1985, so a assume it was distilled around 1960 or earlier. I'm curious about its value, but not interested in selling it. I'm saving it for a special occasion.

The current releases sell for $600-900 at retail outlets. You could check out the whisky auction out of Germany to get an idea of the prices for older bottlings. My bet is that the auction price for yours is at least in this range.
