Suntory Hakushu 25 Year Single Malt Japanese Whiskey

I'm hoping to post this bottle on eBay or Craigslist, and am checking here to make sure I'm offering it for a fair price. The price I paid was roughly $1000 US, and I'm looking to recover that cost. Just wanted to make sure I've got the price right. I'm located in the San Fancisco Bay area. Thanks for the advice!

It is selling for £550 or €650 euros, therefore $1000 was the price.
But to recover the price you bought it for wiill be very challenging, considering the price for a 25 Yo whisky.
