Trying this one out for the first time. It clocks in at around 58%, so I added a few drops of Volvic water.

Nose has the trademark Smarties profile of Clynelish, but balanced, elegant and floral. Mineral water, frosting. Lemon meringue pie on the palate, massive, high toned, multidimensional on the palate with an intense, ultra long finish. Delicious!

Like most good Clynelish bottlings, simple yet profound.

Perhaps my favourite bottling of Clynelish, not the least because of its head-on intensity and unique, almost Brora-like stylistic traits. A very, very appetizing and satiating malt.

Yes, it has all of the trademark characteristics of a good Brora, but it is uniquely Clynelish. "Intense" is far and away the best word to describe it. There should be a warning label similar to the ones they use for roller coasters.
