Information Needed on Large Vintage Pot Still

Postby coppersinkguy » Tue May 14, 2013 8:34 pm

Hello Everyone,

I just bought this Large Copper Pot Still to go into my vintage copper collection. It is very large. 33” in diameter, 30” tall to the top of the pot, with an overall height of 48” to the top of the cone. I don’t know anything about it and am looking to find out information on age, origin, value and anything else you can think to tell me? There is a large worm that came with it that is not pictured. The still is in great condition. Is there anything else missing from the original setup other than the pot, cone and worm that I have? What do you think a still like this would sell for? I cannot find any manufacturer markings on it. If you need any additional pictures please ask.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum Coppersinkguy,

That looks home made to me.

Would it have been heated externally by flame? Or are there any internal steam heating equipment?

A wonderfully unique enquiry.

Are you going to put it to use?
