Bowmore Dusk any good?

Hi,

I'm thinking of buying a bottle of Bowmore Dusk. I've heard conflicting reports as to it's quality, but as I really like the Islay malts I would love to try this bottling. It is quite expensive, so I wonder if anyone has any opinions on how good it is?

for quite some time the dusj used to be my favourite bowmore, I'd recommend it

sampled almost the entire Bowmore range and i can only strongly advice you to sample it first. Bowmore has some freaky bottlings with an overpowering soap/leafy taste. its not in all their bottles though, so i would advice to sample it before you buy it in the same shop.Mine had it, but the dusk is a good dram beyond that, its very assertive and almost unique, only the Voyage has the same candy like flavor. too bad for the strong off-notes.

Yup, seconded. I had a mini of the Darkest once, and it was disgusting. Later, and I'm quite impressed, it's a really well-integrated midpeated whisky.
