Scapa 14 YO

Recently tasted (just the one) Scapa 14 YO. I was very surprised how diffrent it was from the Scapa 12 YO which I have had for a long time and enjoyed.
The 14YO to me was more fruity and floral and a very pleasant dram indeed.
Also I don't know how long the 14YO has been on the market.
Any views ?

I like it. Reminded me a little of Clynelish 14YO, which is very popular with the folks here on the forum.

If memory serves correctly the 14 year old (green tube) was introduced last fall in the UK.

I believe Lawrence is correct. I recall the bottling coincided with the owner's decision to restore Scapa. I suppose the move to a 14yo was driven more by availability of stocks, rather than a decision to simply release an alternative expression?

I agree with your notes on the 14 in comparisie with the 12Y.
More fruity, floral and more delicate and refined. to me its a different whisky then the old 12Y old. A "standard" of sorts.
