Glenmorangie Grand Slam Dram??

Postby Lee69 » Fri Nov 01, 2013 12:53 pm

Hi, I wonder if anybody can help please? I am helping my Dad to downsize and have come across 2 items of whisky that I have no idea about. The first is a full bottle of Glenmorangie 10 yrs old single highland malt with 'Grand Slam Dram' 17th March 1990 on the bottle. I take it that means the whisky is 33years old? The back label has all the teams signatures on it (not original) and the front label has a picture of the team on it. It is in its own tin. The other is a golf ball with 'Old St Andrews, Classic' printed in red with a Lion holding a golf club. This is also full and unopened. It has 'CLUBHOUSE BLEND' written on the top of the cap. I would be grateful if anybody has come across either of these before and for some advice as to where it would be best to sell them (if at all) and their approx. worth (as my dad doesn't want them anymore) as I don't want to get conned! Thank you for looking.

As stated above the Grand Slam Dram is 10 years old as whisky does not age in the bottle. That bottle has been going at Scotch Whisky Auctions for £50-90. You can see the past sales here:

No evidence of the other bottle going through, but there is a similar thing on the current auction paired with another bottle. My suspicion is that it isn't worth much:
