Very difficult to answer, because both bottlings were / have been very variable.

The anniversary 25yo came in two releases - one was spectacular, the other less so.

The 30yo also dipped at one stage, before returning to form.

I voted 30yo, only because of the extra exclusivity it attracts.

When I last did a H-T-H, about four years ago, I actually found the 18yo was the pick of the bunch. The 25yo came across as being a little hot, and the 30yo was a little dry.

My two bottles of 25yo came in a pale timber box. One of them had two leather belts around it.

Very interesting, I was not aware there were different bottlings for the 25. The 25 i tasted was one of the top malts ever, rated it 95 so I guess it was one of the good ones. Did not however had the chance to taste a 30Y old OB. Rumor has it that the 25 is way better though.

In Valentino Zaggatti's two books there are 24 different Macallan 25 offical bottlings shown and only a few of the 30. I'm sure they all varied at least a little bit between bottlings.

I seem to recall JM's 2004 Bible making a point that the 30yo had been variable in recent times?

I've only had the 25, not the 30, but the 25 is what got me so interested in scotch, it was unbelievable, and I don't even know what words to use

Now that I've tried numerous others (not even as old) it's not quite so mysterious, but I did enjoy it immensely. Smooth, satisifying, and balanced.
