Saw a really strange 'bottling' the other day.

The bottle was almost 'decanter' like, with matt black gloss. The whisky was titled "Cutty Sark Golden Jubilee".

But it looked like the 'jubilee' was a reference to Queen Victoria!

Can anybody tell me more ? Especially, does it contain any 50 yo malt ?

Doubtful--I would assume it's a commemorative bottling in honor of QEII's Golden Jubilee (50 years since coronation) a few years ago. The contents of such commemoratives are rarely anything special, and when they are, they make a point of letting you know about it. But I am making general observations without any knowledge of this specific bottle.

Thanks very much for all the research!

It is actually reduced in my shop, from £150 to £75 a bottle.

Still a lot of money though for a relative unknown.
