Flora & Fauna series

Postby Springvloed » Tue Apr 11, 2006 12:45 pm

I recently purchased a set of 22 bottles in wooden boxes from the Flora & Fauna series. I found a couple of websites listing the complete Flora & Fauna series (26 different whiskies at 43% and another 9 cask strength) but am wondering whether the 4 whiskies at 43% that were not in this collection also came in wooden boxes?

Also does anyone know in which year(s) this wooden boxes series came out?

My collection consists off:

Aberfeldy 15 Years 43% 70 cl
Aultmore 12 Years 43% 70 cl
Balmenach 12 Years 43% 70 cl
Benrinnes 15 Years 43% 70 cl
Bladnoch 10 Years 43% 70 cl
Blair Athol 12 Years 43% 70 cl
Caol Ila 15 Years 43% 70 cl
Clynelish 14 Years 43% 70 cl
Craigellachie 14 Years 43% 70 cl
Dailuaine 16 Years 43% 70 cl
Dufftown 15 Years 43% 70 cl
Glendullan 12 Years 43% 70 cl
Glenlossie 10 Years 43% 70 cl
Inchgower 14 Years 43% 70 cl
Linkwood 12 Years 43% 70 cl
Mannochmore 12 Years 43% 70 cl
Mortlach 16 Years 43% 70 cl
Pittyvaich 12 Years 43% 70 cl
Rosebank 12 Years 43% 70 cl
Royal Brackla 10 Years 43% 70 cl
Speyburn 12 Years 43% 70 cl
Teaninich 10 Years 43% 70 cl

Thanks

Hello Springvloed and welcome to the forum.

Most Flora & Fauna Bottlings were introduced between 91-94 although they were practically spread out during the whole 1990's.
Most of the CS releases were introduced by 1997-98...

while the four that you are missing:

Auchroisk 10
Glen Elgin 12
Glen Spey 12
Strathmill 12
...were released in Sept. 2001 (almost 10 years after the first releases) without any wooden boxes.

Just out of curiosity...how much did you have to spend on the 22 bottles.

Cheers

The key word is "introduced"--not one-off release.
