Glen Moray Elgin Classic

Postby drfred » Thu Jul 20, 2006 6:31 pm

Ran across a bottle of this recently. It says aged in oak on the label. Has anybody had any experience with this bottling or is just run-of-the-mill stuff?

Thanks in advance,

Fred

By the way- this is 16yo whisky

Glen Moray

Hello drfred,

Not too sure how to answere here, there is a 'classic' and a seperate '16y/o' malt from Glen Moray. The ‘classic’ is good malt for the price, around £20 in the uk, but not stunning (just my opinion by the way). There are better malts to be had for the same money, but if you have never tried it and would like too, then go ahead. Its on my ‘Tried a bottle, but wouldn’t buy again’ list.

As for the 16 year old, have not got round to trying this one yet, but at just £10 a bottle more than the classic, may well be worth buying one soon to try.

Hope some of that helps.

Thanks, DT. I didn't think it was spectacular or such, just had never seen it before.
