Jameson Gold

Postby andre_s » Fri Aug 11, 2006 1:03 pm

I enjoy the Jameson standard expression and the 12 yrs old very much.
When money allows I'll definately try the 18 yrs old.
I'd like to know a bit more though about the Jameson gold. How does it compare to the 12 yrs old and the standard expression? What is a reasonable price to pay for it (I'm in Holland)?
Thanks in advance.

It's a step up from the 12yo again I think there is more potstill in it. More dept and more dry and bitter notes scattered amongst the sweetness than say the wonderful 12yo. This also Great stuff.

€52.90 there

If Ton Overmars in Amsterdan stocks it may be cheaper there.

You probably know this already, but some of it is matured in fresh oak, which gives it an interesting profile. You can get it for about 45 euro here and there. It's worth that. It was developed for the duty free market, so it's usually available there.
