For a long time I've been trying to clarify (from Jim Murray himself, among others - but with no response) what the main constituent Malt is, in G & M's 'Pride of the Lowland's 12 Year old. Mr Murray states (in all editions of his Whisky Bible now) that. "the character of a certain distillery shines clearly through". I THINK that it's Auchentoshan, but a good friend who lives in East Lothian, says that it's Glenkinchie.
Does anyone know for a fact - or can anyone else give an inspired guess ?
