I have had Eddu, just a mini, and in fact still have another one. I recall not being very fond of it, but it was just the one sample. It is made from buckwheat rather than barley ("pur blé noir"). Sorry I'm not a note-taker. If the occasion warrants soon, I'll crack it open and report back. I do cherish my Eddu Glencairn glass, though!
I loved Brittany and would love to return. St-Malo is a beautiful walled city by the sea, and Carnac is a must-see for lovers of old stones (see below). I also spent some time in Normandy and toured several calvados distilleries, something I would recommend to any lover of fine spirits. Speaking French certainly helps, but some tours can be conducted in English.
