I had one of the old bottlings a long time ago and remember it as being well balanced and quite drinkable. It prompted me to buy another bottle but I have not yet opened it. The ratings I have read on this whisky are very positive.

It is the official bottling of Glen Elgin.

The last time I had it, it was exceptionally smooth. Not the most memorable flavours but very velvety and soft in the mouth - an absolute delight.
