Supermarket deals glenlivet 15yo FO half price!!

Postby elli » Fri Nov 17, 2006 7:18 am

I was in Tescos and as it is time of the year when people buy whiskies as gifts, there are many offer to be found in the whisky isle. However instead of the usual £3 off, £5 off, even £10 off. There was an offer that made me rub my eyes, the glenlivet 15 year old, French Oak Reserve was half price for only £14.97.
Has anyone else seen such amazing offers recently

My brother got the last two on the shelf at our local store last night after I saw it in the supermarket post yesterday. Keep up the good work everyone.

Aye, great deal on Livet 15yo, back in the summer Asda had the 18yo at half price for about £17.50.

Oddbins have great offers on just now too, with buy 2 get £10 off. Such as Ardbeg (including Still Young and Uigeadail) HP, Balvenie and Clynelish:

For those near Co-op stores (at least in Scotland anyway) they have £6 off a handful of the most popular malts, including Livet, Fiddich, HP, Bowmore and Macallan FO.

Had to buy at that price. The box was covered in dust. It must have been sitting in a warehouse somewhere for a long time.
That's started me thinking, why are they selling it at this price is there something wrong with it?

Taste it and find out. Smell it first in case it's piss.
