Dimple 15yr old...Disappointed

I am wondering what others think of Dimple 15yr old...
I had a glass last night and to be honest I was a little unimpressed. I thought it was quite bland and there was no nose about it at all(unless that was consequence of the glass but I don't think so. It was served in a standard tumbler and I have plenty of my malts from tumblers and can still get a good nose.)

What do others think??

I have a bottle too which I have not oopened yet. So if it is as bland as you say I may use it as a christmas gift instead.

Can you expand on the basic flavour profile, smokey, sweet etc

Like to hear other views also.

G'day Irish...

Yeah I would suggest giving it as a gift to someone who is not, shall we say a 'connoisseur'...or avid enthusiast.

From what I remember(I will have to have another go in the next day or so) it had a mild sweetness...there was only a light malty taste and I found it a little 'grainy' - Now by that I mean I think I could taste a wheatyness or unmalted taste to it.
There was no complexity about it all but the finish did last fairly well and it was a little stronger in the malt flavour...
No smoke or peat...

Yes indeed Mr baron.

I have found it quite difficult to go back to blends after savouring single malts...

I suggest the gift idea.
