Glen Ord Distillery

Glen Ord is a very nice wee distillery and I would recommend it to any visitors! It has a good visitor centre with a big window into the warehoose so you can see the casks resting. I'm very ashamed to say this is the first time I've visited it and I've never tasted Glen Ord....yet....that will change shortly.

I bought 2 bottles. A Millburn 25YO Rare Malts and a Glen Albyn 26 YO Rare Malts. Both distilled in 1975. Both cask strength, one over 60%. Had a small nose and taste of each and both were excellent.

(Incidently the Millburn runs past my hoose)

And the best bit....they both retail at approx £70, (Royal
Mile Whiskies has the Glen Albyn at £69.50) but there was a 20% discount, so I got them for £56 each

Info for collectors....Glen Ord are re-branding next year.

Yes again. Don't know when they rebranded last time?

They are also bringing out a new 18YO whisky.

they rebranded a couple fo years back from the tall slender bottles to the dumpy square ones, hopfully theyve seen sence and go back the way

Glen Ord price at Muir of Ord petrol station = £15.99
Difference in price = £14.00
Miles apart = about 11
