I am hearing that Michael Heads, currently manager of Jura will take the position of manager at Ardbeg as of March 2007.

mickey is very nice bloke and im sure everyone will love him at ardbeg if he goes there.
he puts his heart and soul into jura and you tell tell this by how passionate he is when you talk to him, ive been over to jura 3 times, and each time he welcomes me as if im an old friend, the same way he treats everyone.
if this is true, its bad news for jura, you think islay is remote, you aint been on the road from feolin to craighouses...

the signature on the single cask ardbegs is Mr Glenmorangie himself, Theee DOCTOR Bill Lumsden.

Well, I'll be. I saw Mr Heads at the petrol station in Lochgilphead, and he didn't say a word.

Good for him, and good for Ardbeg, I think. I hope he will conduct tours, as he did at Jura. He'll be missed there--a trip to Jura is always great fun, and he was a big part of it.
