Does anyone have price suggestions and tasting notes for this one:

I'm turning into a real sucker for Linkwood - the dried fruit and dash of peat. Reminds me of days as a kid walking through fields of newly cut hay (nice tasting note eh?)

An update - got a retail value of £30-£40 from Whisky exchange. How does that sound?

For an indy bottled ten years ago, sounds about right..

That is not a bottle I would want to add to my collection, mainly as it is a quite common IB and these rarely increase in value to a great extent.

So I would say I would be quite happy to pay around 30GBP for the privilege of drinking it or maybe even using it in one of my tastings.

From a sister-cask:

Linkwood 11yo 1984/1996 (43%, Signatory, butt #5458) Colour: straw. Nose: rich and nutty, with some discrete, but nice sherry. Caramel, creme brûlée, burnt cake. Lots of cooked fruits, apple, apricot, mirabelle, quince. This nose gets nicer and nicer. Nice hints of spices, aniseed, Chinese anise. Great balance and elegance. Some peppermint. Mouth: nice attack, quite sherried, but much less impressive than the nose. Funny notes of herbs from Provence (thyme, rosemary). Fresh mint. Caramel, dried fruits, breadcrumb. It’s good, for sure! Medium finish, just a little offbeat. 84 points.
