PS The sample I had had a lot of the much discussed lavender parfum problem but not as much as the 17 had for some time. Better try before you buy.

I have a bottle open and so does my Dad, it is an excellent dram especially for the price, I like sherried bowmores and it fits the bill, as far as perfume I'm not sure about that, maybe the slightly floral aromas that most Bowmores have are being mistaken for perfume but it adds a very nice touch to the slightly smoky sherried malt. It also has a very nice chocolate finish to it and I will serve it to friends with a nice piece of 60% chocolate and they ussually love it.

Seemingly the 17yo is being replaced by a 18yo but I find it is a class Whisky.

It's only being replaced in the UK in the US it will still be marketed for the time being. I agree it is a great dram it gave me the idea to try the Enigma with dark chocolate, they let me try it at the distillery and I was hooked on the combo.

Aah the Bowmore Enigma , 40% and loaded with caramel , just the way the M-B marketing team says we prefer our Bowmores to be bottled , according to market research of course ....

I think I am drinking too little , hm
