Fake Macallan 18's?

After reading the "Fake Bottle of Whisky" post, how can I tell a fake Macallan from a real one? I've been looking for a Macallan 18 from the '70s and as some posters have noted, they seem to be on eBay pretty often...

What are some telltale signs of a fake Macallan?

Hard to tell...

But you can always try to compare the bottle you'd like to buy with the very detailed pictures which are available in the "results history" link at the whisky auction: http://whiskyauction.com/auction/history_e.html

for instance this one: macallan 18y 1972
