Liquor Stores in Ventura, Santa Barbara, or Monterey?

I will be traveling to these three areas at the end of June and I was wondering if anyone knew of any good places to buy Scotch in these locations. I know that Bevmo has 2 locations in the Ventura area but are there any other ones that I should stop by? I greatly enjoy buying Scotch on my trips out of AZ as it gives me a chance to buy bottles that I can not pick up here? Thank you for the help.

What's your route to Santa Barbara/Ventura? If you are travelling through LA, you have choices of Mission Liquor and Wine & Liquor Depot (only about 45-60 minutes from Ventura.

I will contact a friend of mine to see what is available in the Ventura/SB area.

Wine & Liquor Depot in Van Nuys is hard to be for selection. They have one of the most comprehensive IB scotch selections than anywhere I have ever seen (and I have seen many!). Hi Times in Costa Mesa (further south) has probably a better selection of OB scotch's but their IB bottlings aren't that vast. Pricewise, Wine & Liquor Depot is usually less than Hi Times but both are extremely reasonable compared to others (ie. BevMo).

My bud in Ventura/SB area has told me that these areas are slim pickins now. He says you're better off making the small pilgrimage to the LA area.

In addition to the two previously mentioned, there is Mission Liquor in the Pasadena/Altadena area. Good selection, a little pricey. They do have some good deals on some stuff and carry from the very low end on up (Lagavulin 30). K&L Wines recently opened up a store in Hollywood. Decent selection although a little difficult to get to.

As for Monterrey, you might get MikeyMad involved. I believe he has indicated that there are one or two near the aquarium. Also, you could make the trek over to the lower area and visit Beltramos or K&L. Beltramos has had Highland Park bottle single casks for them exclusively. Also, a Glenfarclas.

Right up the street from the Aquarium. Nice selection (including some rarely seen sample bottles), prices are okay.

Thank you all for your responses.

Ganga, my route will be I10 to CA-57N to I210W to CA134W and finally to the US-101N. So I should be passing reasonably close to Pasedena and Van Nuys.

I will also stop by Bottles and Bins Liquor and Deli, along with trying to swing by the House of Spirits in Ventura.

I will update you all when I get back (well I still have a few weeks, but I have already started planning how to incorporate as many stores as possible. Thanks for the help.
