Is it still produced, collectable?

Hi Rob I think Richard Joynson's comments below answer your question and yes it is still available. There is also a £200 bottle.

Hope that helps. Les.

Glendronach OB Double Cask 12yo 40%alc.

More ordinary replacement for the superb 15yo. I bet a malt manager at Allied is sorry they closed and reopened Glendronach without thought for the single malt potential.

Serves them right for being such numpties.

Price excluding VAT: £20.85 £24.50 Including VAT at 17.5%

Old bottlings from before the closure seem to be collectable.

I'm going to have to try one of the new batch of 12yo Double Matured. I was rather fond of the old 12yo Sherry Cask stuff.

There are still plenty of "The Original" bottlings in most good liquor shops around Sydney. (The one in the red tube that they brought out to replace the 15yo).

I haven't followed what's been happening with Glendronach lately. Has it recently been mothballed, or has it been closed and dismantled?

Cheers,

Admiral it closed in 2005 for 6 months for a refurbishment and the coal boilers were replaced with steam. It reopened in sept 2005.
