So my question is whether these years' bottlings (2005 & 2006) should taste the same ? I assume the 1986 D'E was bottled circa 1999? since I have not seen this bottle.

Talisker 1986 Distiller's Edition was awarded Best Island Vintage Single Malt in issue 63. However, in Canada I can only find a 1992 Dist'Edition or a 200ml 1993 Dist'Edition as part of a "family edition" set.
So my question is whether these years' bottlings (2005 & 2006) should taste the same ? I assume the 1986 D'E was bottled circa 1999? since I have not seen this bottle.
