I'd like to have some opinions on Glenfiddich 18 excellence.
I mean is it good or is it a nice collectable?

Many thanks

It's a very nice malt. Can't think it has any real collectible value, being a widely available ongoing OB.

I concur. Its certainly one of the most balanced malts I have had. Widely available. Do not think it would catch a collector's fancy till its discontinued.

Is the excellence still widely availabe? The ancient reserve is the only one that I have seen in the US, at last for a few years. I have seen the Excellence on Ebay for $150ish...

the glenfiddich 18yo excellence is not readily avalable. the version that is readily avalable is the 18yo ancient reserve.

you still can pick up the excellence in specialist retailers though, but for a fair bit more than the standard 18yo ancient reserve would set you back.

My apologies, I misunderstood the original post re "Excellence" (a good reason to watch your upper- and lower-cases!). I'm not at all familiar with that bottling. Thanks, Dr Rich, for catching that.

I have had the Excellance but it was a few years ago. It was a wonderful dram, perhaps the best of the readily available Glenfiddichs at the time.
