Talisker 18 vs. 175th Anniversary bottling

Postby Bulkington » Tue Oct 30, 2007 4:42 pm

Hi,

I've tried the 18 and love it, but a local liquor store has the 175th Anniversary bottling (which I haven't tried) on sale for the same price ($40 below what the competition is asking). Worth the while, or is that money still best spent on the 18?

Thanks.

Funny you should ask. I just went through five Taliskers Sunday. Here are my thoughts viewtopic.php?f=3&t=6215 as noted in the whisky flights thread. I think the 18 is a far more elegant whisky but you may find that you enjoy the flavors better in the 175th.
